Behavioural Activation is an 8 week course, designed to help you overcome depression, with a particular focus on your behaviour and how this can maintain your difficulties. Inactivity and avoidance are very common behaviours in depression and keep the problem going. There is no focus on identifying and modifying your thoughts in this course, however we will identify how spending lots of time thinking over your problems could be contributing to your difficulties. You will learn how to recognise your own patterns of behaviour and how this links to your mood and be introduced to strategies that will help you to engage with what matters to you in a manageable way and improve your mood.
